TPMS Reset Procedure
Make:BMW Model:X1 Sub-Model:xDrive35i Year:2013, 2014, 2015
Before performing the re-learn procedure below, please review all data in your owner’s manual pertaining to your TPMS system.

 

1.     Properly install tire pressure sensors in your tires.

 

This step should be performed only by a tire technician who has been properly trained in the operation and installation of TPMS systems.

2.     Confirm all tires are inflated to the pressure indicated on tire placard. (located in the door jam of your vehicle)

If equipped with iDrive

(If not equipped with iDrive, see below)

  1. Turn ignition to ON position (engine off)
  2. Press MENU button, this opens the start menu.
  3. Press the controller to open i menu
  4. Select “SETTINGS” AND press the controller
  5. Select “VEHICLE/TIRES” and press the controller
  6. Change the upper field if necessary. Turn the controller until “TPM” is selected and press the controller.
  7. Start engine, but do not start driving.
  8. Select “RESET” and press the controller.
  9. Select “YES” and press the controller.
  10. Start to drive. The tires are shown in gray and “RESETTING TPM” is displayed. After a few minutes of driving, the set tire inflation pressures in the tires are applied as the set values to be monitored. Resetting finishes during driving. The tires are shown in green on the Control Display.

Note: If a flat tire is detected during resetting and applying the tire inflation pressures all tires are show in yellow on the Control Display. The message “Tire Low!” is displayed.

 

If not equipped with iDrive

 

  1. Properly install tire pressure sensors in your tires

This step should be performed only by a tire technician who has been properly trained in the operation and installation of TPMS systems.

  1. Start Engine, but do not drive the vehicle.
  2. Press and hold the TIRE PRESSURE WARNING button until the TPMS Telltale warning light in the instrument cluster lights up for a few seconds.

  1. Begin driving. After a few minutes of driving, the tire inflation pressures in the tire are adopted as the desired values to be monitored. The resetting is completed during driving and can be interrupted at any time without requiring any input from you. The resetting automatically continues when driving resumes.
